Root-cause diagnosis
DC jack is physically loose/damaged - intermittent or no contact.
Recommended action (for the technician)
Repair or replace the DC jack/charging port.
Final verification before returning to customer
Stable charging and power-on at a normal cable angle.
Step-by-step timeline
Plug in a known-good, correctly-rated charger (not the customer's, if you suspect it). Watch for 5 seconds. What happens?
Still exactly the same - no light at all, no fan, nothing
Is the battery removable? If yes, take it out and try AC power only (charger plugged in, no battery). If not removable, skip to the next question.
Battery not removable / no change either way
Look closely at the charging (DC) port on the laptop body. Any looseness, bent pin, or visible crack?
